What is the LmBox Bridge desktop app? It is the main program of the LmBox Bridge editing workflow (actively maintained). Working with the editing extensions, it connects DaVinci Resolve, Premiere Pro, After Effects and other hosts, adds the Lab features and keeps receiving updates.

This is a hand-translated English version of the desktop release notes, covering 2.0.0 to 2.9.1. Versions before 2.0 (April to August 2026) are only listed on the Chinese site, which is also where new versions appear first. Feature names follow the English menus of the desktop app.

2.9.1 · 2026-10-02

Fixes

• Fixed third-party sign-in (including Apple) showing a 404 page in the authorization window, which then did not close.
• Signing in with a third-party account that is not linked yet now says "This account is not linked yet" and offers "Sign up", instead of only "Sign-in not completed".

Improvements

• Installed editing extensions now update automatically in the background when a new version is available.
• Sound library: right-click "Transcode and import" now lets you pick the format right under the title, with AIFF and AAC added.

2.9.0 · 2026-09-30

New

• Your account center can link third-party sign-in accounts (including Apple) and a phone number, and the sign-in page offers quick sign-in with any linked method.
• Happy Little Fish: the frame size of the draft timeline it sends out now matches the host sequence or composition.

Fixes

• Fixed the Settings panel wrongly reporting "Not signed in" for users who were not signed in yet.
• Fixed in/out points shifting, and a long empty gap on the timeline, when a Premiere round-trip edit was swapped back automatically.

Improvements

• On first launch, once the welcome screen is ready, FFmpeg and other external tools plus the Adobe and DaVinci Resolve plug-ins are prepared in the background.
• When imported captions cannot be placed on the track in Premiere Pro, you get a clear message and the caption folder opens.
• Grabbing timeline stills in older Premiere Pro versions is more stable, with clearer messages on failure.
• Shot scout: hover a shot strip to preview it with sound, and wipe left and right to find a position.
• Shot scout opens your last used project when you enter the page.
• In grouped sidebar mode, clicking a top-level group opens the feature you used last; hover to pick another.
• Talking rough cut opens your last used project when you enter the page.
• Blueprint lab remembers the canvas zoom and position when you reopen a project.

2.8.0 · 2026-09-26

New

• Captions & text: script-align formatting breaks lines at commas and can remove end-of-line punctuation in one click.
• New sidebar page Look match: drop in a source and a reference image to generate a local color filter, preview it, save it and apply it to the timeline.
• New sidebar page Score & SFX: write a full track or a short sound effect, preview it, then import it to the timeline.
• Blueprint lab: SFX music generate can switch between a full track and a short sound effect, sharing the route with Score & SFX.
• Sound library: right-click "Find similar" finds other sounds that sound close to this one in libraries with search features built.
• Sound library: build search features straight from the top bar; while building, the button turns into a red stop button, and finished items carry over next time.
• Sound library: "Search by picture" takes one or more timeline frames or images and finds sounds that match them.
• Sound library: search by description or by picture can be limited to all sounds, short effects or long background tracks.

Fixes

• Fixed Captions & text and Blueprint lab still using the old file, or picking up neighboring tracks, after you changed the in/out points or audio tracks; audio is now re-exported for the chosen range and tracks.

Improvements

• Blueprint lab: OGraf generate and Lottie generate now work with thinking models such as DeepSeek.
• Sound library: on import, sounds of 10 seconds or less go to the "Sound effects" folder and longer ones to "Audio".

2.7.0 · 2026-09-15

New

• Captions & text: script align now generates straight from your final script after you drop in audio or grab it from the timeline. Caption blocks snap to the speech and start slightly early to cover the attack, with no recognition step first.
• When you create a new Keychain you can pick common providers such as Kimi, SiliconFlow, StepFun, iFlytek Spark, xAI, Mistral and Groq; the address fills in once you choose a platform.
• Happy Little Fish: tick "Empty" to send out a blank draft; after export it comes back into the timeline as the finished edit.
• Blueprint lab: new SFX music generate node. Describe a style or write lyrics to get two songs at a time, preview them and connect them to the audio import.

Fixes

• Media library: a local folder that was deleted from disk no longer comes back after you remove it from the sidebar, and clicking a root folder that no longer exists clears it automatically.
• Fixed applying a filter from the LUT library in newer Premiere Pro versions sometimes failing to create the color effect.
• Stem split and Rhythm edits now open External tools in Settings when the transcoding tool is missing, instead of only showing a message.
• Fixed the floating toolbar of the Toolkit being cropped around the edges on some Windows computers.
• In Premiere Pro, Rhythm edits set to write to clips now writes to the clip instead of the timeline, and copying timeline markers to clips works again.
• Importing from the Sound library to the timeline in newer Premiere Pro versions now adds a track when it can, and asks you to create an audio track first when it cannot.
• Fixed the LUT library comparison preview showing only the original image after grabbing a timeline still for commercial extension packs on some Windows computers.
• Fixed installing the DaVinci Resolve extension from the Plug-in manager on Mac failing when DaVinci Resolve was still open or the folder could not be written.

2.6.0 · 2026-09-11

• The Store now has a reseller program; applications are welcome.
• Blueprint lab: new Run script node. Turn steps that already work in DaVinci Resolve into a node and rerun them from the lab in one click (needs DaVinci Resolve 21.1).

• Voice replicate (official route) can take captions from the current timeline, voice them line by line and import the result, with each line aligned to its caption start.
• Voice replicate (official route) can also use a local subtitle file as the script, synthesized line by line and placed by caption time.
• After loading captions, Voice replicate shows the line count, character count and estimated caps in the top bar; the list shows one line per row, and you can pause, resume or cancel while voicing.
• Text reading can take captions from the current timeline, read them line by line and import the result, with each line aligned to its caption start.

• Blueprint lab: new Voice replicate node, wired the same way as Text reading, using your saved cloned voices; caption scripts are placed line by line too.
• Blueprint lab: Text reading and Voice replicate let you pick a voice in a dialog and fold out speed, pitch and volume in the node; multi-line results preview as info cards, and you can hover the output list in the sidebar to listen.
• Blueprint lab: new middleware nodes Note, Constant, Gate and Delay. Notes are for comments; constants switch between text, number and boolean (the output stays text); a gate can switch off the downstream text chain; a delay adds a pause in a text chain.
• Blueprint lab: when a Gate is closed and you run the whole graph, the gate and everything after it are marked as skipped instead of failing at downstream nodes such as reading.
• MCP: blueprint.catalog now includes node names in the current language, and blueprint.project.get returns a graph summary and the last run result, so external agents can understand a blueprint.
• Blueprint lab: new Filler clean node removes breaths from talking footage by waveform and connects to Import video to place the kept segments.
• Blueprint lab: new Video semantic index, Audio semantic index, Shot search, Audio search and Shot clips apply nodes. Build features for your local footage and sounds, then find similar shots by text, image or video, find sounds by description, and import them to the current timeline.

• Voice replicate (official route) lets you add pauses, change pronunciations or swap words right in the text, and reads by those marks.

Fixes

• Fixed two windows opening when you launched the app again, with the menu in one of them not responding.
• Fixed blurry covers when uploading to Fusion Lab; a large timeline frame is now used.
• Fixed the preview concurrency setting for the Media library in Settings not being saved; it is now remembered and covers are generated with the new value right away.
• Fixed hover playback in the Media library sometimes not stopping after you scrolled it out of view or switched folders.

Improvements

• Motion graphics (MOGRT), Fusion Presets and Motion graphics (OGraf / Lottie) remember the route and language you chose last when translating templates.

2.4.0 · 2026-09-01

New

• "Local connection" in Settings can allow external MCP agents to connect to your computer; copy the keyword and they can build and run flows in Blueprint lab.
• External MCP agents can point Blueprint lab input nodes at local files and view the settings of a single node.
• External MCP agents can run a single Blueprint lab node, or continue from one step to the end, without rerunning the whole graph.
• External MCP agents can run Blueprint lab steps that take time, such as image generation, stickers and matting.
• External MCP agents can open feature pages in the sidebar (such as Blueprint lab or Talking rough cut) to help new users find them.
• External MCP agents can look up feature guides on the website and open the matching sidebar page.
• After importing a Jianying multi-camera draft, the timeline only keeps the active angle and the enabled audio, instead of many nested clips.
• When a Jianying draft with nested compounds comes into Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve through Pulse import or XML import, the main timeline keeps a sub-timeline you can double-click into.

Fixes

• Fixed Blueprint lab nodes coming back empty when getting video from a connected app; the selected clips on the timeline are now read.
• Fixed Pulse import and XML import forcing picture and sound to link, which caused offsets; a video's own audio still links normally.
• Fixed stereo audio being split into two mono tracks when importing video with sound; it now lands as one stereo clip.

Improvements

• After Blueprint lab imports clips into your editing app, you can connect another "get" step to read the edited audio or captions.

• Markers: reviews are saved as separate projects that you can open from the project library on the right, with an editable name and description. Linking a timeline only binds the current project and does not replace what you are editing.

Fixes

• Fixed dragging from the Sound library list into your editing app sometimes failing; formats the editing app does not support still cannot be dragged in, so transcode them first from the right-click menu.
• Fixed some models not understanding Chinese descriptions when searching the Sound library by description.
• Fixed the Markers right-click menu appearing away from the pointer.

Improvements

• Sound library: the translated-names switch in the top bar now controls both the list and the clip names after import.
• Sound library: preview pauses while you drag a selection, its handles, or the selection itself in range editing.
• Markers: click a linked timeline again to unlink it.
• Markers: the toolbar is split into timeline, items, export and project library, with the library entry at the far right.
• Markers: items are now a card list that scrolls more smoothly when there are many.
• Markers: edit and delete moved to the right-click menu; copying an item also copies its note.
• Markers: opening a linked review from the project library also switches to that timeline if it is still in your editing app.
• Markers: right-click an item to grab a still and save it in the current review; hover the timecode to see the frame.

2.3.1 · 2026-08-29

Fixes

• Fixed Happy Little Fish refresh and auto swap-back not matching the original clip, and refreshing everything as soon as the extension connected; swap-back is now correct and refresh is manual only.
• Fixed frame size and frame rate not matching when a Jianying compound preset came into DaVinci Resolve through Pulse import; the timeline is now built from the actual picture in the preset.
• Fixed some Jianying drafts bringing only sound and no picture through XML import.
• Fixed grading round trips not matching the finished edit for some Jianying drafts graded in DaVinci Resolve; the copy is now written back correctly.

2.3.0 · 2026-08-26

• Toolkit: new Happy Little Fish. Select clips in Premiere Pro, After Effects or DaVinci Resolve, send them out to edit elsewhere, and they are swapped back automatically once you export to the home folder.

Fixes

• Fixed the project list of LmBox Bridge Core not refreshing after you saved a draft in Jianying with auto refresh on.

• Media library: the browse grid follows each item's real aspect ratio and supports more video, image and audio formats; audio shows a waveform and plays on hover.
• Media library: numbered images in the same folder are grouped into one image sequence; hover and slide left or right to preview, and import it into a connected editing extension.
• Media library: right-click an item to rename it, which renames the source file on disk; image sequences are renamed as a group by prefix.
• Media library: hover or select an item and press Space for a quick large preview; video and audio play automatically and you can drag the progress bar.

Fixes

• Fixed the list jumping back to the top, and aggregated browsing being interrupted, after deleting items in the Media library, Sound library, LUT library, Fusion Presets, Motion graphics (MOGRT) and Motion graphics (OGraf / Lottie); the list now stays where it was.
• Fixed Fusion Presets, Motion graphics (MOGRT) and Motion graphics (OGraf / Lottie) reloading the whole page and losing the scroll position after saving a copy.

• After an import, LmBox Bridge Core can open a log bundle for you to send to us, which helps with troubleshooting and compatibility.
• Links in Q&A & tickets posts and replies are clickable and open in your system browser.

Fixes

• Fixed clicking the waveform in the Sound library not starting playback exactly where you clicked.
• Fixed the original audio split from video coming in twice when LmBox Bridge Core imported a Jianying draft; only one copy is kept now.

Improvements

• Sound library: waveform generation concurrency can go up to 16 when your computer can handle it.
• Sound library: list preview now loads the whole clip by default, so click-to-seek is more responsive; switch back to segmented loading in Settings on slower computers.

• Toolkit: Sony lens flags now supports Premiere Pro, coloring media and adding take names and markers from the in-camera sidecar files.
• Blueprint lab: Image generate creates images from text or edits from a reference image, and with Mask draw connected it only changes the painted area.

Fixes

• Fixed the progress bar stopping at about 20% when writing Sony lens flags in DaVinci Resolve.
• Fixed Blueprint lab getting only the timeline, and no picture, when getting images in DaVinci Resolve.

Improvements

• Fusion Lab: after taking a video preview from the timeline for publishing, DaVinci Resolve returns to the page you were on instead of staying on Deliver.

• Toolkit: new Art student's palette, a nod to studio days: the box of gouache, the palette, the water bucket and the towel.
• Trim silence supports synced preview: Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve line up the in and out points, so play it in your editing app.
• Toolkit: new Grab timeline stills. Tick clip starts, ends or markers to save timeline frames to a folder in batch; works in Premiere Pro, After Effects and DaVinci Resolve.

Fixes

• Fixed single-region loop and continuous selection playback not working in Trim silence.

Improvements

• Trim silence defaults: silence threshold 10%, clip offset -40 ms before and 70 ms after, fragment filter 40 ms, so breaths are handled more reliably and word starts and ends are less likely to be cut.

• Split view: right-click any cell to split it in half, make it square, divide it evenly or delete it.
• Split view: mark a cell as a placeholder that keeps its space in the layout but gets no clip, and is skipped when applied.
• Split view: import empty compositions per pane and stack them on the timeline (DaVinci Resolve, Premiere Pro, After Effects), without changing the existing "Apply to clips".
• Split view: in After Effects, "Apply to clips" adds track mattes per pane and scales each layer so its shorter side fills the pane.
• Split view: "Import empty compositions" is now an icon button in the top bar, with its name on hover.
• Split view: the placeholder option in properties is now called "Placeholder cut-out".

Fixes

• Fixed the main window not opening from the desktop icon, tray or taskbar while the floating toolbar or recording bar was open; it now opens right away, and those small windows close with the main window (with a reminder first if recording).
• Fixed Trim silence, captions and Talking rough cut failing to get audio from tracks with transitions on the DaVinci Resolve timeline.
• Fixed Split view crashing when the DaVinci Resolve timeline had text titles; titles are now skipped, while video, images and Fusion compositions can still be split.
• Fixed Split view failing to create layouts at unusual resolutions.

Improvements

• Split view: preset thumbnails now use gray blocks on a dark background without numbers, and placeholder cells are a darker gray.
• Split view: the preview is centered at the timeline aspect ratio with margins; the grid and outlines sit on the composition board and meet the dividers.

• Toolkit: add any sidebar page to the tool shelf and open it with one click from the floating toolbar.
• Toolkit: new Multi-search. Configure search engines, browser tabs, system apps and other sources, and search by keyword from the floating toolbar.
• Toolkit: new Rename local files. Drop files or folders from your computer and pick a recipe on the floating toolbar to rename them in batch by prefix, number, metadata and more, with undo for the last run.
• Toolkit: new On-screen keys. Shows the shortcuts and mouse combinations you press, layer by layer, on screen.

Improvements

• Toolkit: the settings page now has a category list with search on the left and the toolbar setup on the right, so tools are easier to find and drag in.
• Toolkit: under the floating toolbar title you can search tools that are not in a slot yet and run them directly.
• Toolkit: set the sources and search engines of Multi-search at the bottom right; type a keyword in the floating toolbar to search.
• Toolkit: floating search matches bookmarks from Chrome, Edge, Safari and other browsers on your computer and opens them in the browser.
• Toolkit: floating search recognizes pasted content: links open, and local audio, video and image paths can be imported to the timeline.

• New Rhythm edits: get audio from the timeline, detect beats and energy peaks automatically, and write them as timeline or clip markers.
• Rhythm edits: the toolbar gains icons and waveform zoom, loop uses the familiar icon, and you can create or clear host markers.
• Trim silence: drop local audio or video onto the waveform area to preview and tune settings; when you start cutting, the media is imported to the media pool and written to a new timeline.

Fixes

• Fixed local recognition in Captions & text failing to prepare audio when the DaVinci Resolve timeline used proxy media.

Improvements

• Motion graphics (MOGRT): after translating a template and saving a copy or importing it, the text on the Premiere Pro timeline shows the translation.
